Network issues with xbox one.

For the past 4-6 days or so, xbox one will not connect to internet after it restarts. I have to restart the router for it to work for some reason. I have bridge set up where xbox one, ps4, wii u, and my pc is connected via ethernet. Only the xbox fails to
connect to internet for some reason. I've had the xbox since thanksgiving and I never had problem before. I've manually assigned IP/subnet/dns server but nothing works after xbox one restarts. It simply will not connect even with all the correct configuration.
Was there a recent update or something that could have messed up my xbox?

:)

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear about any issues you may be having due to network connectivity due to MAC address filter. Are you able to connect to your network on the Xbox? What console are experiencing issues with?

If its on Xbox One try this troubleshooting resource for
Network Settings for the Xbox One.

Let us know if this helps.

First thing to try would be a hard reset of the console.

Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
for results.

Let us know. Good Luck!

5. So you have a modem and a router AND a bridge ? ...by bridge , do you mean a simple switch ? 1 port in , 4 out?....

Does the XBOX see the network? Also, can you try it wired?

It sees the network. Under network settings, it grabs ip/dns/subnet from the router's dhcp. it just will not get internet connection even with proper configuration without rebooting the router. Again, every other device plugged into the bridge router works
without problem. It's just xbox one acting up.

Just to clarify. I have a wireless router set up as a bridge connected to modem/router. I have ps4, wii u, xbox one, and pc connected to the bridge. Only the xbox one is giving me this problem for some reason.

Have you tried giving the XBOX One a reserved IP #? Once you do that then Do a restart of your bridge, modem and XBOX.

Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
for results.

Yep. I've assigned xbox one static ip. Reserved IP specific for xbox one mac address. All of these work for that one instance where I reboot modem/router. Once xbox is put to sleep and reboots, I can't connect to internet. Funny thing is, the xbox one shows
correct the ip/subnet/dns. Just no internet until i go reboot the modem/router again. I'm thinking this might be hardware issue.

Fixed the problem. It was the auto sign in. Removed the auto sign in and the problem disappeared. What a weird problem.

Xbox One Issue/Network Issues

Oh your first post said you were thinking about sending it in for repairs nothing about telling me or genesis about it asking for you to send it in for repairs
I was just assuming I would need to turn in my Xbox to have it repaired?
Lets factory reset it go to settings - system - console info & updates - reset - reset and remove everything. Once you done that go through the initial setup again and see if you can fix it without getting repairs. let me know if the pop up asking for repairs
is gone and see if you are / aren't connected to a wired network. If the factory reset doesn't work then you will need repairs unless it is under warranty then it should be covered.

No need for repairs!

You can also try clearing the alternate MAC address settings - network - advanced settings - alternate MAC address - clear - restart

if my post or genesis post doesn't help then let me or genesis know and we'll try to resolve it. Genesis is great when it comes to internet connectivity so he'll be more of a help then me lol.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the
console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know.

If you still need to send it in for repair. If you registered your console then you should be able to log in here and get the process started. account.microsoft.com/devices

Good Luck!!

Well, I tried both of those. It is still saying I am connected through a wire and it's also saying I must send it in for repairs, sadly.
