Network hacked through my xbox live acct help to prevent this from happening

Recieved a threat in my messenger all the sudden was kicked offline reset modem recieved another message saying that wont work and kick off again locked all the internet in my house contiued to recieve messages throughout the day from the hacker threatening
if i didnt allow under age girl in my house to get back on her xbox he was going to continue to lock my network need help reporting as well as protecting my house from future attacks

Hi There,

You seem to be a victim of a DDoS attack, which means they are sending a lot of internet traffic to your ip address and overloading it so that you cannot access the internet. I suggest turning your router off for at least 10 minutes , your ISP should usually
assign a new IP address to you. Please report the person that was sending you messages. It is quite difficult to prevent this sort of thing from happening other than perhaps using a VPN when accessing the internet.

I would also report it to your Internet provider, as a ddos attack is illegal . 👍

Ok, so if i move XBOX LIVE acct 1 from MS acct A to B, and then connect Xbox Live acct 2 to MS acct A, will that be ok? Ill have access to that balance and whatnot?

To prevent this hacking from happening again, consider enabling a pin on your xbox profile every time you login, as well as the Microsoft authenticator app that's tied to your cellphone. Good luck friend.
