    . I want to let everyone know I'm an ambassador for
    xbox and usually can handle issues but I need some assistance m8s. My
    xbox one s is currently having network or connectivity issues and it is also acting as if it factory reset.(Make sense?) More detail
    about the network, it is showing that I am connected to my network with full service but I am not connected to
    xbox live and network tests fail. My NAT is open, Router/Modem reset. I hard reset as well and menu restarted a few times. Now she is just acting all janky and saying it can't connect to a network
    it's actually already connected too. Any help or tips for this kind of issues would be greatly appreciated. I have also noticed that this isn't the first time my
    xbox one s has done this. It's happened 4 times in the last week so perhaps I have a problem with hardware. I have been wanting to
    play all day! Thanks

    360 Slim Doesn't See Network

    My Xbox360 Slim wont see my wireless network. Every other device in my house connects to the network flawlessly. My Xbox occasionally sees my neighbours network. To be clear, it's not that my Xbox won't connect to the network, it usually claims there are no networks to connect to. Any help?

    Problems with internet through xbox one

    Just rerun the test for network connection on your console so that error message is verified. If it does not connect again, the network connection troubleshooter will fix the problem for you.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
    the console.

    Hi Devilish,

    I'm sorry to hear this has been going on. What exactly happens when you try to test your network connection? If you do Test
    multiplayer connection
    does it give you an error message? I do see you've mentioned to have attempted to reset the router/modem. Have you attempted to clearing of you Mac Address?

    To clear the alternate MAC address(Network cache)on the Xbox One console follow these steps:

    • Go toSettings
    • Select Network > Network Settings
    • Select the Advanced Settings
    • Next choose the Alternate MAC Address
    • Select clear and restart

    Also, something to take a look at is to see if your modem/router has gone through any recent updates. If so, sometimes these updates these certain networking devices have can cause the firewall protection to be set on 'High protection' and for it to allow
    the connection to the console it should be at 'Medium protection'.

    This is a very tricky situation that I'm in. This has actually been a recurring issue I've had the last week or so, about 4 or 5 times. It's tricky as my Xbox is connected to my network. Connection tests fail 7 out of 10 times both for multiplayer and Xbox
    live. This is the confusing thing, as I am able to connect every 3/10 times I try to test the network. After about an hour half, I am just now gaining access to the online services. I appreciate the tip for the MAC. I cleared that, unfortunately though, it
    wasn't the key. I gave in and just factory reset my Xbox and it seems to have worked because I connected almost immediately to my network. It would seem that the factory reset is still the tool to help with network problems from my experience. Took me a while
    but I figured it out.

    Yeah, that'd be a pretty good assumption. :) The only possibility could be if your console was purchased used or shipped to you by MS as a repair replacement - in that case it is possible the console was registered to the preview program by the previous
    user and would still be receiving preview updates unbeknownst to you.

    But, if you bought it new, this shouldn't apply.

    In addition to DURP's questions, I would also ask, are you in the preview program? If so, from around that same time back, there have been some NAT issues occurring with the current preview, so I would wonder if it's in the same category of problem. If you
    ARE in the preview, you would definitely want to post these details in that forum (if you need the link or navigation steps, let me know!)
