Netherlands server - tracert to server.

If you know the server ip iddress and have access to a pc, you can run a tracert to see whereabouts in the journey the issues are. A tracert pings the server and times how long it takes to make each hop in the journey; if one of those is much larger than
the rest, that's where the issue is.

Can you try running a tracert from command prompt to ping the server; it will test whether there is an issue at a particular hop between you and the destination server.

Are you familiar with tracert?

I just ran it for the server you meantioned and found it somewhat intersesting.

The next to the last hop ....... what I would assume would be the server directly before xbox's provider's server, had extremely inconsistent results.

try it yourself ... do it several times consecutively.

Are you in the Netherlands? I ask because your DNS servers are.

This is kind of a fun thing to try if you dont know. Use tracert on your puter.

Type"cmd"



Type "tracert google.com"



Hit enter



What follows will be a basic roadmap of your connection to google servers on the west coast ( at least for me). You can do a search on each of the ip addys to see what cities your internet connection travles through. Try several different servers in place
of google.com and you will find the last common one. this will be your providers main server and your connection is based on that city . not where you live.
