Netgear (Routers): Port Forwarding and Xbox one
All,

I have a Netgear R7000 that I have an xbox one hooked wirelessly to. I was wondering if it were possible to use Port Forwarding to block all access to the internet (via edge) and also youtube but maintain access to Xbox live. I would like to still be able
to play games online but I don't want to allow the system to surf the web or view youtube videos via the youtube app. I don't care if any other apps use the internet.

Please let me know.

Having Much Trouble With NAT

I would suggest updating firmware if that doesnt help then visit netgears troubleshooting site for more info on port forwarding and port triggering netgear is the best for xbox though I have one and it kicks.

Login Information

• Gateway - 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1, or
  http://routerlogin.net
  
• Username - admin
  
• Password - password

Port Forwarding

1. Login to router by entering
   http://routerlogin.net in to the address bar or by entering the default gateway IP address.
   
2. The router will then prompt you to enter the user name and password.the default user name and password are: "admin", "password".
   
3. From the menu on the left select Port Forwarding/Port Triggering.
4. Select the Port Forwarding button at the top of the main screen.
5. Click the Add Custom Service button at the bottom.
6. In the following Screen enter a service name that indicates something to do with Xbox Live (XBL). Set the service type to both TCP and UDP. Set both the starting port and ending port to 3074. Then enter the IP address that the Xbox console you wish to
   port forward has.
7. Click Apply.

Disable Port Forwarding

1. Login to router by entering
   http://routerlogin.net in to the address bar or by entering the default gateway IP address.
   
2. The router will then prompt you to enter the user name and password.the default user name and password are: "admin", "password".
   
3. From the menu on the left select Port Forwarding/Port Triggering.
4. Select the Port Forwarding button at the top of the main screen.
5. Select the radio button for any rules needed to be removed.
6. Select Delete Service.
7. Select apply.

4. Select Advanced setup from the menu on the left.

6. Select the Port Forwarding button at the top of the main screen.
