Netflix

Just stopped working. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, unplugging/replugging everything. Nothing has worked. Help!

What do you mean by "just stopped working" Is the app loading at all, freezing, blank screen, etc?

 

Mine was working just fine last night and today it just crashes on start up. I have to turn my xbox off by the power button on the Xbox One cause all I see is the tv default screen (blue). I've restart the xbox, unstalled the app and downloaded it again
to no avail! By any chance are you in the Xbox One Preview Programme?

 

Rgr warren I'm having the same problem. When I start up Netflix it goes straight to the input screen on my tv and it says format not supported and just a black screen. Then I can't get back to my Xbox and have to restart it with the power button. And Netflix
was working just fine last night. I tried everything idk why it's doing this when it was just fine

 

Hi xMETALxCUPCAKEx, So I did some research and found that sometimes an update from MS can interfere with netflix. How or why I've no idea and can't find a fix but will keep looking and update you asap. I did find a few otheres having this proplem and netflix
is/was having problems mostly in the US but I do belive this is an update related issue. Could you check when your xbox had its latest update and maybe let me know by message If your's starts working, thanks in advance James.

I'm unable to use Netflix App on my Xbox One after the recent Xbox One update. I get a screen resolution error when I launch the Netflix app. My TV only supports 720p and 1080i; I assume the app is trying to switch to 1080p. Audio works fine via my stereo
if I launch a show remotely.

I contacted Netflix and they denied publishing any updates to their app in several months. I went through their recommendations of uninstalling/reinstalling the app. Cold booting etc. without any success. My screen resolution on the Xbox One is set to
720p, I've tried enabling/disabling 50hz and 24hz refresh rates without any success.

 

Mattare1, Exact same problem here. My tv only supports 720p and and if I try to switch to 1080 it does the same thing Netflix is doing and so I'm pretty sure it's Netflix app trying to use 1080p. And Netflix was literally working fine 2 days ago so it must
be something Netflix changed. But they're denying anything?

 

0x80073cf6 - I am getting this error message when trying to start the Netflix app. Started doing this a couple weeks ago. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, unplugged xbox and plugged back in still get the error message.

 

I was having this issue too but I may have found a solution.

I tried a bunch of changes to the display settings and a reinstallation of the app before calling Netflix. Their customer support suggested that I unplug my Xbox for a minute to reset some sort of cache. When I plugged it back in and started Netflix, it
still wasn't working. But after a quick reinstall of the app after the unplugging, it worked!

I should note that the first time that it worked, I had the display manually set to 640 x 480 (the Netflix issue wouldn't happen when I forced this resolution), opened a video in Netflix, manually changed the Xbox display settings back to 720p, then returned
directly to the video. I just happened to have my Xbox at the lower resolution when I reinstalled the app and I don't know if this is actually part of the solution, but it should be mentioned. I have since been able to open the app in 720p without any issues.

I changed my display settings from HDMI to Auto-detect and it appears to have resolved the issue.
