Netflix and Hulu voice commands not working.

Whenever I say "xbox select" when on Netflix or Hulu none of the words on the screen show up in green. I try to say for example on Netflix "Profile one" and nothing happens and it's the same story for Hulu. This has been happening ever since this month’s
update. Can anybody help me, Thank You

Thanks for clarifying that apakunah48. When you calibrated your microphone did you perform it with the soound up a bit louder than usual? Sometimes when watching video that audio can get in the way of your commands if it's louder than normal. It's also worth
giving one more power cycle a try, as WildGues' issues began to clear up this week.

Can you please list the apps you have experienced this trouble in so we can best help out? I understand Netflix is one, which has an issue our team is aware of but I'm interested to know which other media apps you're experiencing this with.

 

I'm running into the same problem on two Xbox One consoles. Both consoles have been restarted via the settings menu, and I've killed and restarted the Netflix and Hulu apps. The voice commands to control playback work, but navigation in the app is gone entirely.

 

I am also having trouble with the voice commands. I can not navigate or give the commands to play pause or any of them. The green words use to pop up to choose, but now nothing pops up and I can't control the movies/shows like before

 

I'm a quadriplegic and have no use of my hands. I am sick of xbox not dealing with this issue!!!!!! I DON'T HAVE THE OPTION TO PUSH BUTTONS ON THE CONTROLLER! The only reason I got the xbox one was because it offered voice control of my Netflix. They blame
each other! Microsoft blames Netflix and it just goes in circles! I'm wondering if another option would be more user friendly. Maybe I will try a Sony product since nobody here seems to care!

with spinal cord injuries and a large percentage of the individuals I help are quadriplegics. I have had the same problem with the voice commands for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. I've spent countless hours on the phone between these 3 organizations
as well as Xbox support and each one points fingers at the other. I really don't care who's updates are at fault, I just need them to fix the issue and soon. I was looking to supply a countless number of Xbox one consoles with Kinect sensors to the individuals
I help who did not have full control of their hands or arms. However, I've been holding off on this decision to do so because of the lack of quality control from Xbox and it's third party app developers to assure that voice commands are compatible in each
of the updates. Here's what I'm getting now from each of these applications.

Netflix – I can tell Xbox to open Netflix however I cannot select a profile to get started. Nor can I command Xbox to navigate (scroll up/down/right/left… select) the lists of movies or TV shows.

Hulu – same exact problem as Netflix

Amazon Prime Video – there are no control options at all once the application is open.

YouTube – can open and navigate a few times but then the application freezes up. This is constant. I quit the app and restart, I scroll a few times and then… Freeze!
