Netcomm: My Mic lets me hear stuff but it won't let me talk.

Headphones that allowed me to hear background noises and talk on the mic only let me talk on the mic. They were compatiable.

I can hear but it won't let me talk

how do i buy a adapter for my xbox for i can talk. because when i try to plug in my mic to my controllor it wont let me talk but i can still hear out of my mic

Oh, and another thing, sorry haha if I'm too troublesome, but is it possible to check for me if I have a communications ban or something of that nature because I've tried four different mics and as of now all of them allow me to hear other players but won't
let me talk to them, but when I use my Kinect I can, weird huh? Or and one of the mics worked for a couple weeks when the others didn't and then it did the same can hear but can't talk thing a couple of days ago.

My mic is picking up regular sounds like the game play but it wont let me talk or hear other people what could be the problem?
