    Netcomm (Modems/Gateways): DHCP Reservation
    NetComm NV6

    Login Information:

    Default Gateway – 192.168.1.1

    Username – admin

    Password – admin



    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press enter.
    3. Enter “admin” for both the username and password in the resulting pop up.
    4. Select Advanced from the options across the top of the window.
    5. Select Local Network from the menu on the left.
    6. Select DHCP Server from the menu on the left.
    7. Click the Reserved IP Address List button.
    8. Click the Add button in the resulting window.
    9. Enter the MAC Address of your Xbox console and the IP Address you would like it assigned.
    10. Click the Apply button at the bottom of the window.

    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
    3. When prompted enter admin for both the username and password.
    4. Under the Advanced tab select Local Area Network (LAN).
    5. Click the Add Entries button below the MAC Address IP Address table.
    6. In the following screen enter the console’s MAC Address and the desired IP Address.
    7. Click the Apply/Save button.

    Okay cool, so to recap, I should do this dhcp reservation step first before I go into the port forwarding step. And DO I have to hard wire my computer via Ethernet to the e4200 for this dhcp reservation while having my Xbox turned on and connected to the
    e4200?

    An open NAT is no guarantee that this behavior will be consistently open for each endpoint on your network.

    Can you see if your router support DHCP reservation, or IP reservation. If so, setup both console's to have their IP address reserved in the DHCP of your router. Before you setup this, make sure you reserv a unique IP outside of the DHCP's dynamic IP pool
    range.

    Is there any chance you can try with a wired solution?

    You do not need to reserve an IP using DHCP reservation with a router that is well-behaved.
