    Netcomm (Modems/Gateways): Change Wireless Channel
    NetComm NV6

    Login Information:

    Default Gateway – 192.168.1.1

    Username – admin

    Password – admin



    Change Wireless Channel

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press enter.
    3. Enter “admin” for both the username and password in the resulting pop up.
    4. Select Wireless from the options across the top of the window.
    5. Select the desired channel from the drop Channel drop down.
      (Channels 1,3,9,11)

    Change Wireless Channel

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
    3. When prompted enter admin for both the username and password.
    4. Under the Wireless tab select Configuration.
    5. From the drop down menu labeled Channel select the desired channel. (Channels 1,3,9,11).
    6. Click Apply/Save.

    Change Wireless Mode

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press enter.
    3. Enter “admin” for both the username and password in the resulting pop up.
    4. Select Wireless from the options across the top of the window.
    5. Select 802.11g only from the Transmission Mode drop down.
    6. Click the Apply button.

    • Gateway: 192.168.254.254
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin

    Change Wireless Channel

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address 192.168.254.254 into the web address bar.
    4. This will take you to a login page, type admin for the “Password”.
    5. Once logged in select the General Settings on the left side.
    6. Select the WLAN option on the middle page.
    7. Select the Channel you wish to use.
