Needing help with a Strange Console Battery charging Issue

Hi There.

Purchased my XBOX One Console Just after Christmas 2019

I kept having to replace the Batteries in the controller so I purchased a genuine XBOX one Battery.

I started using the controller with the Re-Chargeable battery unit, When I plugged the Console into the XBOX the Controller Vibrated and the light just flashed on momentarily. I figured there was an issue with the port on the XBOX so I tested all ports with
the same result

Now I'm thinking Console Issue or faulty Battery or Cable. So I take MY Controller and battery and Cable back to the store, He plugs it into his controller and it starts charging..

So my console is not charging the battery but his is.

Get on your Forums etc, Told on repeat its a controller fault.

So Now I'm here with a couple of months old XBOX that I'm sorry I purchased, Sorry I didn't continue with the PS4

Pissed off that I've wasted over a Month Talking with people that Don't read or understand Basic troubleshooting.

I've proved the fault and I get told no that cant be, except when I go to EB Games shops, who also say I've got a faulty console.

Sounds like there definitely is a fault.

You may be able to send it here or visit a microsoft store after the COVID-19 issue is dealt with for a fix.

The kit will not charge the battery while the console is turned off. You'll need to have it on while you're playing to charge the battery.

Hello Wilder DC,

What brand of recharagable batteries are you using? If they are a battery pack they need to be charged on the respected charging pad they came with. If they are Energizer or Duracell rechargeable batteries that are single cell they need to be charged in
the respected outlet charging stand they came with also.

Ok, good to hear I'm not alone lol. Yeah i had no issues with the beta as well. Strange. I sent this issue to Activision support, i will pass on their response. I also wonder, if i plug into usb and i have rechargeable batteries in the controller, will the batteries charge ?

None at all, that is extremely strange to say the least.

The battery pack is nowhere near the thumb stick so why it would cause it to drag down is a mystery.

Have you charged the battery fully, not that I could see that causing an issue like this if you hadn't.
