Not sure why it would show the 3 month and not the 1 month, but if you're still in the first 30 days of the subscription you can try contacting phone support to speak to billing to see if they can cancel it. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

What it was showing you was the unit price. In the same way that it breaks down the 12-Month membership to show how it effectively costs $5 a month, the 3-Month membership breaks down to about $8.33 a month. But you pay the whole membership period up front,
thus $24.99. If you want just one month, it'll be $9.99. Since you've already paid $24.99, just call up Xbox Customer Support, and ask them to convert it to a 1-Month membership, and they'll just keep the $9.99 out of that, and send the other $15 back to
your card.

3-Month memberships have been $24.99 since, what, November or December 2011, I think. Same time Monthly became $9.99, and Annual became $59.99.

If you have been billed and they shouldn't have billed you then you need to contact your bank and instruct them to reverse the payment.
