    I've been playing PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds since the release on console and loving/hating every moment. The lag and other technical issues are pretty atrocious (I understand it's still in preview), so I decided to buy an ethernet cable to hardwire the
    xbox to my modem to see if that might help to reduce any latency issues, with no real noticeable success, just FYI.

    This leads me to my question, ever since I connected the xbox to the modem via ethernet cable, whenever I turn on my xbox it doesn't, and cant, connect to Live until I restart my modem even if I disconnect the ethernet. This doesn't happen when it's not
    hardwired and just connecting over the wireless network connection. But if the ethernet is connected, it wont connect.

    Under network settings it says "Wired," "NAT Type: Unavailable" and tells me to go to the teredo issues page. The modem, or quite possibly a gateway, Im not sure, is a Cisco DPC3825.

    connecting to modem

    when I connect my xbox with ethernet cable to my D-Link DSL-502T , the wireless on the XBOX keeps on searching the connection and the wired connection is shown as checked(connected) and disconnected .

    how to disable the wireless connection when I want to use the wired (ethernet) connection to connect to xbox live

    cant even connect to pc

    Feel a bit stupid on this one compared to most problems but..

    when i connect xbox to laptop via ethernet my laptop my Test Pc Connection fails ( and hence xbox live etc). The laptop detects ethernet cable, media sharing is on ,firewall turned off. I connected xbox directly to modem and this does connect online.So it
    seems to be some setting on Vista ,

    Should xbox show somewhere on vista when ethernet is connected ,

    Any ideas welcome

    Do any of your other devices using network hardware connect to the internet?

    When you restarted your gateway/router/modem (network hardware), was the PC/console turned off?

    Are you using a wired connection or wireless connection to your network hardware?

    If wireless, try a wired ethernet connection instead.

    I'm hooked up to a Cisco DPC3825 DOCSIS 3.0 Gateway (Roger's Canada) modem / router.

    I had the ethernet cable connected directly from the modem into my xbox.

    However, when I selected test Wireless Network it told me to unplug the ethernet cable first!?

    Now I have unplugged the ethernet cable and connect to Xbox Live via Wifi and also connect to my computer faultlessly. It's just weird that I can't use both...?

    when you turn your Xbox one on but before you turn the Xbox one on makes sure your Ethernet code is plunged into the Xbox one rest your modem and router first then turn on your Xbox one with the Ethernet cord plunged in and this should help i have my Xbox
    connected(WIRED)also.

    Check your network connection.

    You may have to power cycle your gateway/router/modem to ensure its properly connected to the internet. Turn the console off while you power cycle the gateway.

    If you're using WiFi try a wired ethernet cable.

    The 8007 series of error codes are connectivity related IIRC. If you can bypass your modem and directly connect through an ethernet cable to a classic-style modem, all the better. If your 'modem' has 4 ethernet sockets on the back labeld "1 2 3 4', it's
    a gateway which combines a modem and router and the bypass won't work. A 'modem' with a USB port also does routing. Both the USB/Ethernet 'modem' and the gateway can be the source of connection issues, as can be the firewalls at your ISP.
