Need to make the 'community' more of a community

Okay, so I tried an experiment. I got a 12-month payed time card code. I wanted to give it away. Conditions were: Person does not know; Person has silver; Person IS online; Person has a microphone and will enter it RIGHT NOW and not try to scam or sell
it.

I failed. Like totally failed. Everyone is hiding their friends. Is set to Offline so you can't see them. Does not want to chat with you. Starts entering the code and then are prompted for address & etc, so they think I'm somehow fishing for their info,
and I'm not. I COULD NOT FIND a soul to give a 12 month time card to in 3 days. Serious. I couldn't. I almost lost the code once to a dude that decided not to trust microsoft with his address. Dude, you shouldn't have to give info to microsoft. They
should already have it. Once I told one of my friends what I was doing he was like, "Give it to me! Dude?!" But, that wasn't the test.

Product idea: People should be able to gift subscriptions to people.

I would love it, if someone showed up on my xbox live one day and I had a game in my inbox, and they said, "We ARE playing Earth Defense Force: Insect Armaggeddon NOW! Download that and let me know when you are done."

So I tried to do this for someone else and...failed. I couldn't even give it away. I burned it up, and now have a zillion month subscription. Which is fine. I didn't lose it. But, still....

You can't give away a time card on xbox live to a random person with silver access.

Can't.

Tried for 3 days.

Failed.

I'ma go /cry now.

trying to make a community

Hello everybody im trying to make a community on black ops Reddead redemption and halo Its called Navy seals. What i plan on doing is trying to make seal teams and names . I dont want to give team names that are boring like Seal team 6 or 5. so if intreseted
just send me message on xbox live not on this website but on regular xbox live on 360.

we are adding more in everyday to make a better xbox server...we didnt work to much today because of my being drunk but tomorrow we are doing another house, working on the store, making the community chest, the community farm, and more..

 

hello, you have a good idea with the whole share xbox subscriptions, but it causes alot of fights like a "Give me" argument. i'm not sure how you got the card if you payed for it in you're idea to give it to one of you're freinds or just to give it out,
but isn't it agaisn't xbox live terms to give out codes?

 

^I believe it is only against the forum rules. Plenty of codes are given away on twitter and twitch.

 

Yeah,you can give out codes on the forums but over live it's ok.

I know if someone I didn't know offered me a 12 month code i'd be suspicious but then again a lot of people want something for nothing nowdays so surprised no one snapped it up.

 

Was watching Twitch today, this guy won a code for something else. He tried to scam the kid that was broadcasting, "I didn't get it, can I get another one?" OMG...serious?

I have no idea why it isn't a feature, I've gone to great length to give currency to overseas friends.
