I got a Microsoft reward for 5$ on xbox and when I tried to redeem the code it said Here is what you get Microsoft logo 5.00 CAD Microsoft gift card. This code is for another region Take it back where you got it and see if you can get one for your region

That is why you don't use out of region codes yes you need to spend currency before you use region migration

Why would you use an out of region code or even buy one

Most services don't allow out of region codes for good reason taxes and they are not in the business to deal with exchange rates

The region of a code cannot be changed. If you bought the code from a retailer, you would need to contact them to see about exchanging the code for one that will work for you. However, as Croatia is not a supported region, that may not be possible.

If the code is region locked then it can't be redeemed in your region and will need to be returned or exchanged for one that does. There is no way to get the date and time the code was activated unless you redeemed it yourself and can see it in your purchase
history.
