Need some Monitor help on Xbox one X

I have purchased a Viotek GFT27DB that supports 1440p at 144hz and when I have it plugged in to HDMI 2.0 it only lets me use 1440p at 60hz or 1080p at 120hz, why cant i use 1440p at 120hz .? The monitor supports freesync and all required specs. Thanks
    in advance for the help

    :)

Xbox one S only supports 120hz.

Depending on the panel and other hardware within the monitor will depend on what resolution you can run the 120hz at.

For example, on a 4k lg tv you can get 4k 60hz, and 1080p at 120hz.

If you access the display settings on the Xbox you can select the resolution. And if there is an option, the refresh rate. If you can see both of these options, one option will most likely be 1440p at 60hz and another will be 1080p at 120hz (presumable with
    free sync enabled).

All of this should be available through HDMI 2.0

If you can't see these options, you may need to make sure that the HDMI cable you are using is HDMI 2.0 and not 1.4

Let me know if any of this helps and we can go from there.

    No Variable refresh rate option

    Hi Emzir,

sorry to hear but have you enabled FreeSync on the monitor itself? It is OFF by default, and needs to be turned on in the Monitors On Screen Menu. After it is enabled on the monitor the Xbox One X should recognize the capability (May require restart after
    enabling on the monitor)

Hope this helps and please keep us informed
