Need Some Help (xbox one will not shut down keeps restarting)

Hi All

Wonder if anyone could Help

I have the power to my Xbox one on all the time so my wife can watch the tv when I'm not using it (turns on straight into the tv)

but a few days ago when I turned the Xbox off at the end of the night it turns itself back on, it does this even if I unplug it from the back of the console and plug it back in without touching anything plus it loads up Forza Motorsport 7 has it got a virus
or something

Hi Wales,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. We recommend to first set your power mode to energy saving. See if this will help with the instant turning on. Go to settings>power and start up>power mode and startup>middle column select energy saving.

A hard reset might help.

Hold down the power button until the console shuts down.

Then unplug the power brick and keep it unplugged for 5min.

Plug it back in and restart the system.

That might help

Go to the system settings a do a factory reset to see if this will fix the problem for you.
