Need permission to get a realm subscription.

I apparently need permission from a parent account to get a subscription. Yet I am the only one in my family account and I am the organizer. I didn't even know there was a family thing. I went to change my xbox settings and it keeps redirecting me no matter what I do. I am trying to get the subscription on my playstation 4 and have no clue why I need a stupid xbox account for something totally unrelated. I am the adult account but cant change anything. Terrible services here.

I cant press on my account on the family site because it isnt clickable so I cant do anything to make sure I am an organizer. Microsoft and xbox are the most complicated and inefficient sites I have ever used.

For you to manage it you can simply sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings.

If the system detects that your account is a child account you will be redirected to a support site and if not you will be able to change it successfully.

If you were redirected to a support page, please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/family and check if there is an organizer account linked to your account then use the organizer account so sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings then "allow" the setting on this screenshot:

I am already signed in and I am an organizer but when I click the link I keep getting that dumb support page. I can't even click on my own profile and when I sign out and sign back in it does the same thing.

Just a friendly reminder though that even if you’re the organizer if your account is a child account it will not work. You need to ask for an adult to add you as a member on their family group so they can manage it for you.

Is it a realm? Or a world hosted on someones console? If it's on the console, the Xbox would need to be left on and the world opened in Minecraft and running to allow others to access it. If it's a Realm, then that is a subscription and the user would
have to continue to pay that cost to keep the Realm hosted and accessible. That person who owns the realm would be able to manage permissions for people who have access and who do not. Are you in contact with the owner of the world/realm?

Realms is a separate subscription. Buying the game wont get you realms, just a 30 day trial. If you want to have realms, you'll need to pay for it.
