Hi! I'm an Xbox player but I don't like to play fighting game like Fornite, Halo... and I don't like adventure games that content racing like Forza, Asphalt... I like to play no-fighting, no-racing. Can anyone please suggest some classic games
for PC and children under 13?

:)

Agreed. That reminds me of a fairly heated discussion here on the forums a couple of years back where a user just said that fighters have no depth since it's just about who mashes buttons faster. He went as far as to say that
shooters required more dedication (in order to get really good).

While I have no disrespect for tournament level FPS players, I certainly disagreed with his statement given how much time is required to even become comfortable with one character let alone have all the ins and outs of the entire game down pat (match ups, frame
data, combos, set ups, etc.).

I'm fairly certain I know who you're talking about, lol.

I'm going to have to agree that Virtua Fighter 5 is the most in depth fighter I've played, and the closest you could get to a real fight(competition fighting). They do a great job of actually studying each martial art not just gimmicks. For example just
because he's a kickboxer doesn't mean he does mostly kicks. You have to set it up, e.g to throw a elbow you have to step in, and the best thing to step in with is a jab/mixup or combination. Obviously you can do just a random elbow/kick/knee but the same thing
usually happens in real life as it does in the game, K.O. Haha. The form for each move is pretty accurate too. I'm a nerd though, so I love it.

It takes way more then four days just to become even a beginner in FG's, lol. Being quick or "reaction time" while good to have is a small part of the whole process. It won't matter if you're frame trapped and don't know it. Pressing buttons will only be
your downfall. Takes countless hours to really know the mechanics of each game. Not to mention you actually have to know your character bnb's, good/bad matchups, frame data etc, and thats almost a never ending process(haha atleast for me)

If that doesn't sound fun and believe me it feels like work sometimes, you might as well go back to shooters. I love it personally, reminds me of chess(which I also have played at tournaments)and I love martial arts. Also feels very rewarding to win a strategic
match of wits and execution.

Ugghh, I am not as quick as I was 20 years ago..... ffs I suck lol. I guess it's back to slower paced shooters haha.

That's not true for most fighting games. Maybe Marvel vs Capcom 3 because that game is literally all aggression.

If you fight someone with decent defense you won't be getting off juggles or extended combos all the time. Take DOA5 for example. If you aren't hit during the start up animation of your attack you won't have to deal with as many stuns as you would if you
were caught hitting buttons. Playing on Ice and in Water can change this because they have a slip effect on low attacks but that would be using the environment to your advantage.

There is much much more to fighting games than people give them credit for like spacing to stay out of your opponent's kill zone and safe pokes to open up players with good defense. Fighting games are some of the deepest games we have tbh. Even ones with
small move list like Street Fighter because you have to practice every individual match-up which can equal as many if not more hours spent learning and playing then these open world RPGs.

Thanks for the indepth comment, Haiku. I may skip SF X Tekken then, unless I find it on sale during Black Friday for cheap. Sounds like there are some serious online issues there.
There aren't any issues online. The netcode is par for the course as far as fighters go. The issue is just that the nature of the game doesn't really go hand-in-hand with the time constraints.

The game is pretty cheap now, actually. Amazon.com has it for $19.21:
What do you think about the Naruto fighting games? I really liked the adventure/fighters Ubisoft did.
I really liked Rise of a Ninja and The Broken Bond. They were what got me into watching the series (did not know anything about Naruto prior). That said, I liked the games because of the adventure aspect. I couldn't really be
bothered with the fighting, to be honest. Since we're on the subject, however, the animation in Ultimate Ninja Storm 1, 2, Generations, and the upcoming UNS3 is absolutely stunning.
