Need help Xbox one new hard drive

Here is a video tutorial on how to install a hard drive in your Xbox 360 Slim. Please check if you have a hard drive in your xbox before buying a transfer cable, because if there is not one there you will not need a transfer cable. If there is one, then
you will need a transfer cable if you want all game saves etc on your new hard drive.

It might be the xbox but it might also be the hard drive. Try taking the hard drive out to see if that helps. If you have to, get a flash drive and format it on the xbox to put the DLC on.

If that works then you would need to get a new hard drive.

Since both of you have helped me greatly, I come again to you asking for your sage advice.

It looks I will definitely need a new Xbox. I have found some decently priced Xbox 360 consoles online, but they come decently priced because they all have 4 GB hard drives, which creates a problem because I have a 500 GB hard drive. I'm pretty sure the
hard drive is not an issue with my old Xbox 360 (I took it out and attempted to power on the old Xbox 360 with the same results), so I definitely want to preserve the old hard drive memory. If I buy one of the Xbox 360 consoles with a 4 GB hard drive, do I
then need to purchase another 500 GB hard drive to format to the new console, then transfer data from the old hard drive to the new hard drive?

If you have an external hard drive that is at least 256GB in capacity AND is USB 3.0, you can copy your games to that and then move them across to the new console.

Note: you will need to format the hard drive for use with Xbox One, wiping anything already on the hard drive, so only use a blank hard drive or one with files that you do not need to keep.

You simply need to plug the external hard drive with the Xbox One games on it into the new console, then you can play games from the external hard drive, or transfer them from the external hard drive to the internal hard drive. You may need to update some
or all of the games, which will require the internet. But you don't need to re-download the whole game.
