Need Help with Xbox Error E101 - OSU Not Working for My System Version

I had the same problem with my xbox. My issue is fixed now. I was getting error code E101 00000504 8B050041 while updating my xbox offline. The error came because I was trying to flash the same os which was already there on my xbox. MS just released a new
update yesterday. You just need to download the OSU1 file again and flash it.

Hopefully that will work for you as well.

Hey, the latest update just refuses to install on my xbox for some reason, and even both OSU 1 and 2 files don't seem to work. But the OSU2 file gives the error the OP mentioned above, while the OSU 1 gives another error E101 00000907 80070570, any ideas?

I have the same problem. When I install osu 2 from error e101. And my console is from 2013. No one can help me. The people at xbox are useless, as they only know that they need to take the console in for repair.

I've tried the to do the OSU since I'm back form work I have discovered that my xbox turns on but doesn't boot up.

I don't think the OSU would work as my controllers won't pair to the console.

Edit: It's finally worked and controllers can connect but the OSU fails with error code E101 00000504 80070570

Any further advice would be great

Couple things to remember if you try using OSU's.

1. If you are using a wired ethernet connection you must disconnect it from console prior to attempting an offline system update (OSU).

2. Do a console reset and choose keep games and apps first. If thats successful and the console updates online you dont need to use OSU1. If its unsuccessful do console reset and delete everything (last resort)
