Need help with sudden lag spikes on two different xBox One consoles

After reading up on the google wifi it looks like alot of people are having trouble with it.

There are some good points to try one is to try and move the google mesh away from any walls even if its 10 to 15 cms away. Every wifi signal boosters will lose some mbs as they are just boosting the signal to get you online. If anything you would always
get the best out of any wifi system is to connect to the main hub as close as you can.

The other this is something about a shild that is taking up the speed at times.

There is also a setting to make the xbox a priority in a list to.

And the last thing I can thing of that would kind of make a difference is.......... try a router like a netgear which could be better than the google nest system. Also I think that their is a adapter that you can get that can use the home electric to boost
wifi speeds not sure if that will work.

I managed to shift things around in the house to connect the xBox both directly to the router and then again directly to the modem. Unfortunately, I am still seeing significant lag spikes running both directly through the router and directly through the
modem. That should effectively eliminate the router as the source of my issues right?

I had run the network speed tests and the results of both of those setups returned download speeds of >250mbs, uploads of ~10mbs and latency of 50.

Is it possible there is something wrong with the console? I find it odd that I would be experiencing this on two different consoles, but I don't understand how it can be the network equipment if I've eliminated the router as an issue?

I am setup at home with a Google Mesh system. Both consoles are hard wired into one of the pucks so it is as direct a connection to the router as I can make it. The router itself is in my office and there is no TV there to connect to the xBox.

Since we are on Google mesh I also cannot control whether it is on the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz band as the mesh is supposed to be routing to the strongest signal. Download speeds to the xBox are very fast right now. Had to update Modern Warfare yesterday and was
able to download at >100Mbs.

Any other options on things to try?

2 things I would do is 1 try putting the xbox next to the router and also try wiring it to the router.

I would also doing a bit of router tidy up.

I would get rid of any device's that are no long needed on the wifi and change the router band width to make up a 2.4ghz and a 5ghz band width.

I would connect the two consoles up to the 5ghz band width .

Try that and get back to us.

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.
