Need help with sharing of purchased content on my home xbox.

Hey all, The other day my little brother wanted to purchase a DLC for World Of Tanks. He asked if he could use my account and then pay me back when im home from college. I said yes because in the past he had done this and he was able to use the tank he had
bought off the microsoft store and I was too. So I figured we both get something out of it. He purchases the tank and the file downloads in his manage section and the xbox store says he can use it or buy for himself like other shared games do. Problem is,
it does not show up in game for him. What gives?

Multiple Xbox One's in 1 household & Home sharing help Please!!!!!

Hi,

I'm literally pulling my hair out with this home sharing larky with MS, I've called many times and get conflicting statements off them in relation to home sharing & I'm close to blowing my fuse as some of them just don't know what they are talking about.

Here is my Issue, I have 4 Xbox ones in the household, now Xbox 1 & Xbox 2 before home sharing I purchased basically all games duplicated, ie 2 x advanced warfare with addons/ expansion packs e.t.c, so both 1 & 2 have individual liscences for same games.

Now I am home sharing xbox one & 2, I've made xbox 1 the home on Xbox 2, meaning I can now access all content purchased on Xbox one with Xbox 2, they are able to go online together on the same game or on diffrent games at the same time. This is great meaning
I no longer have to purchase the games twice.

Now I'm moving onto Xbox 3 & Xbox 4, As Xbox 2 had its own games downloaded & content seperate to Xbox one. Can I now make Xbox 2 home on xbox 3, so basically I can access the content purchased on xbox 2 before the home share with xbox 1?

Kind of like a daisey chain effect, so 1-2 share games, 2-3 share games, I understand that xbox 3 will not be able to play all the content purchased on xbox one. but surely it should be able to play content purchased on 2.

Can I now also only buy one xbox live gold for xbox one & two?, Ie they share gold live?, at present I purchase 2 x xbox live gold account and use this one xbox 1 & 2 so it is seperate live gold accounts, So basically now I'm home sharing can I purchase 2 years
of Xbox live gold and load the 2 years onto xbox one? which will give xbox 1 & 2 access to live gold?

Thanks for reaching out!

The Home Xbox feature will allow you can share content with other consoles at home. Make sure to not share any personal information with anyone.

The My home Xbox setting allows you to do the following:

Share games and downloadable content purchased from Microsoft Store with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can even share games downloaded as part of a subscription.

Hi there,

On the Xbox One, when account makes a console it's home console, that shares the purchasing account's license with all users on the console without the purchasing account needing to be logged in.

Once the account changes it's home console, the previous home console no longer has the license to share the content unless the purchasing account is logged into the console that now has to be connected to the internet.

You can share games and the subscription, but only on one console. So decide which console to share games to, and then use an account with the subscription and games you want to share, and make that the home Xbox. Once you have done that, then the owner of that Xbox will not need the subscription any more or need to purchase any games for the account that is on that Xbox, unless your child wants a game for himself.

Account-specific items can’t always be shared. Some examples are:

In-game currency such as Minecraft Coins
Certain pre-order bonuses and special edition content that can only be redeemed once

The content needs to be downloaded by the account that has that console listed as the Home console.

Majority of the time if that account is the one who purchased the content then it will be shared by the other users on that console.

I purchase everything through my account, then my Kids accounts are able to access the content.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in learning if you can use the home console feature to share the license for an Xbox One disc. The

home console feature shares only games, subscriptions and some downloadable content. There is some content that developers do not allow to be shared. You would need to purchase another disc or the digital version of NBA2k20 in order to play it on both consoles.
