    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate $1 Deal

    Game pass Ultimate is different from Gold if your Gold subscription is expiring then need to renew.

    Only problem I have with Game Pass, is I have heard if you do not renew it then you can lose your gold subscription too. Is this fact or fiction?

    If you have Game Pass Ultimate (which combines both Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass) and do not renew, then yes you would lose both. If you subscribe to Game Pass separate from Xbox Live Gold, then if you don't renew Game Pass (but still renew Xbox Live Gold)
    all you would lose is your subscription to Game Pass.

    Hello Capitain Gonzo

    To go back to Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Only you would need to Cancel Auto Renewal on Ultimate Game Pass let it Expire and then Re-Subscribe to Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass.

    Ok hi when I try to play a game pass game it tells me I need to renew gamepass but I have xbox live gold
    XBox Live Gold doesn't give you access to Game Pass games....Live Gold just allows you to play Multiplayer content. You either need to buy Game Pass separately or you need to upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate which includes Live Gold
