Need help with recovering Microsoft/Minecraft Account.

I received an email from Minecraft asking me to migrate my Mojang Minecraft account to Microsoft. When I was migrating, it asked me to create a Microsoft account, so I made a new one and continued with the steps with Xbox Profile, etc.

Since my PC at home was having some problems, (I migrated my account on a different device) I didn't play immediately after migrating.

A few weeks later, when I was trying to sign back into Minecraft on the website to redownload the game onto my PC (I went through a PC reset), I realised I didn't save my login details (which is my fault entirely)

I don't know what email address I made up for the account, forgot the password, and since it was a brand new account, I didn't have any other details I could provide (like phone number, etc) when trying to recover my account through the automated form.

I reached out to Minecraft, since I hoped they could maybe find out my email address as I have a vague idea of what password I used, but they just referred me to Microsoft since it was an account related issue.

I still have proof of my transaction for my Minecraft account, a NameMC account (which shows I have logged into Minecraft before to verify it) and I have my old login details for when my Minecraft account was still with Mojang.

Posting here since I'm not sure who can help me at all, if anyone has been in the same situation as me and has managed to successfully recover their account? Would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Catdotexe, I'm sorry about what's going on, but in situations like this even Xbox support can't help you, simply because there are no references to your account, you really have to try to remember the Microsoft email you created to be able to migrate.

As you saw yourself, in the account recovery form you need to know the Email, phone, or Skype name to be able to recover the account.

Thanks for the fast reply.
Is there really no other way to recover my account?
I have all the proof of me owning the Minecraft account, old logins for it, proof of migration from Microsoft, everything but the Microsoft login.

Is there no way for anyone to perhaps search for my account within Microsoft, if they have any records of Minecraft to Microsoft accounts? Any possible way I can search for the Xbox account I made when migrating, as I know my name and what profile picture I set for that, just not my gamertag numbers?

I've tried to guess and remember my Microsoft email, but nothing comes up. I'm just losing hope that I'll ever be able to recover my account at all.

Try checking with a friend or family member which email you used to create your account.

I did try, but I migrated my Minecraft account to this Microsoft account, and I don't need to recover it. I need to restore Minecraft itself on my account because it's not working on my account!
