  1. Need Help With My Headset's Mic Volume

Hey guys! First time posting here. I'm looking for some help with my headset's mic audio. For some reason when I'm streaming, the input sound comes in super low. Checking back on my twitch archives, you can barely hear me due to the muffled sound. Even when the game sound is completely muted and mic monitoring is adjusted, the mic volume remains low. The mic only detects a significant amount of volume when my mouth is right next to it. These are a pair of Turtlebeach Battle Buds, which I had no problems with on my PS4. When streaming on the PS4, the mic works great and my stream picks up my voice clearly, unfortunately I'm not having much luck on the Xbox one. No matter what settings I adjust, I can't get the Xbox to increase my mic input volume! Thanks you in advance for all the help.

volume greyed out, microphone on headset now working

From my experience with turtle beach headsets you will not see the volume sliders on the adapters or with the headset, if they have the volume controls on them. e.g. if the headset has volume and mic volume controls, you willnot see them available on
    the xbox.

    X12 mic loud

I have a Pair of x12 TB as well and am very familiar with electronics as I work in retail in an electronics department. There isn't a way to adjust the mic volume on the x12s. The only thing you can do as far as lowering the volume of your voice on the headset
is position the mic a little away from your mouth. this is what separates the TB from your basic headsets, the mics are built really well as apposed to your cheaper mics. Also, it may not be as much the volume of your mic, but what they have their volume settings
at, depending on what they are using. hope this helps.

Xbox headset doesn't output audio through earpiece

The volume button is for the headset, not the mic

Game audio through headset without adapter

When headphones are plugged into the controller, there should be an option to adjust the "headset volume" (which is the game volume through your headphones).

When headphones are plugged into the controller...

    • Double-tap the Xbox Guide button.
    • Go down to the "Settings" icon (picture of a cogwheel).
    • You should see a bunch of volume slider settings underneath the "All Settings" option.
      • Headset mic (on/off switch)
      • Headset Volume (slider)
      • Headset Chat Mixer (slider)
      • Mic Monitoring (slider)
    • Adjust "Headset Volume" to the desired volume level.
If you don't see all those volume options, your Xbox might need a simple
    power cycle
. Then you can try the steps above again.

The game audio through the controller works just fine with my pair of Bose QuietComfort 25 (QC25) headphones.

    Hopefully this helps!

    xbox one mic issues

First make sure the headset is compatible. What type is it. Most are plug and play. Go to settings under audio while your headset is connected and adjust your volume, chat mixer, and mic volume let me know if that helps
