    Need Help with Microsoft Account Reinstatement After Breach and Suspension


    Hello,

    I’m experiencing a major issue with my Microsoft account, and I need help finding the best way to escalate my case.

    What Happened:

    • November 14: My Microsoft account was breached via a one-time-use security code.
    • The hacker changed the associated email and removed all my other aliases, but did not change the password.
    • I was able to regain access by using a Minecraft notification about the email change.
    • Once logged in, I changed my password and added 2FA using my phone number.
    The Problem Begins:

    • Adding 2FA triggered a 30-day security lockdown on my account.
    • Since I did not have access to the new email the hacker added, I could not cancel the lockdown—but the hacker could.
    • To prevent further access by the hacker, I contacted Microsoft Support via live chat and successfully escalated the case.
    • Microsoft suspended my account upon my request, assuring me it would be temporary and I could unsuspend it later.
    Current Issue:

    • When I later attempted to unsuspend my account, I found that Microsoft’s appeal system for suspended accounts was not working.
    • I tried again recently and submitted an appeal for reinstatement, but it was denied.
    • I have proof that I am the rightful owner of the account and that Microsoft previously told me it could be reinstated.
    • I recently replied to their denial email with more information and am waiting for a response.
    What I Need Help With:

    • How can I further escalate my case to actually reinstate my account?
    • Since I do not have access to the hacker’s contact email but can still log in, is there another way to verify ownership?
    • Has anyone successfully reinstated a Microsoft-suspended account after an appeal was denied?
    I am able to provide more info and evidence if needed. Any guidance or support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    An account suspension can be enforced for a breach of the Code of Conduct that is verified before the suspension date.

    To check your suspension: https://enforcement.xbox.com

    If you are eligible you can file for a case review

    Hello I already tried the account reinstatement 8times and I don't think this is related to my issue because my microsoft account was hacked then suspended because the account recovery thought the account cannt be recovered, which is not true. The support told me the enforcement team and remove the suspension of a microosft account , however I don't really truth that's why I asked this question

    If your account was breached, the same thing applies. you will need to contact Xbox Support to open an unauthorized account case, this may result in them temporary locking the account to investigate.

    Either way the people at the forums can't assist with this issue, only Xbox Support can.

    So the advise is to contact Xbox Support again, to investigate the 'breach' on your account and to work out a solution for the suspension due to the payment issue.

    When you created your account you agreed to the
    Microsoft terms of service    . You are using a service provided by Microsoft, where they have regulations and rules (ie. Code of conduct) if one person finds a message offensive they have the right to report this and then the Enforcement team will look it
    over and if it violates the code of conduct they will issue the appropriate suspension/ban. When you use any services, there are rules and regulations that need to be followed. The code of conduct is in place to protect all gamers. Sorry for the suspension
    that you have got. If it is a 24 hour suspension they do not warrant a review, due to it takes at least 2 days for enforcement to review a suspension. They limit informing you of what was said against who, for the sake of retaliation, which is another breach
    of the code of conduct.
