Even when I change my account to adult on my parents account

it still says I have a child account when I go back to change privacy settings on said account

Click Billing and Membership, Then under Microsoft Account click Forgot Parental Pass Code, Then click Chat With Support.

I feel bad about 4 years ago I got my first 360 and since I was not of proper age my mother put restrictions on, its years later now and Microsoft comes out with some good deals on games which I cannot touch because my mother forgot any and all account info.
I think I remember the password but I can't get the info right this sucks, if anyone can help me I would be grateful
