The volume of my headset was set to the same volume before and after the problem occurred. When recording through the speaker the volume became much louder for both the game audio and my friend's audio. My discord setting was set to 0% the entire time.

You need to ask the people in your party to enable share audio. To do this, they need to go into the party and check the box that says Share Audio when you are streaming. Hope this helps!

The only way you can get sound from your console into your headset is to plug the headset into the audio output on your monitor.
