Need help with (2) 1st Gen Xbox 360s (1 of them a launch model!)

Hi

I have been working on this for a couple of days now, and have hit a LOT of dead ends, so I'm turning to the Xbox community. I spoke with Xbox Support (Live Chat) yesterday, and they told me that for my 2 units, they are unable to do any service or repair
work to (paid or not). They said that I can go with 3rd party services/replacement parts to fix them. Both units have broken shells, and need to be replaced. Up to even a year ago, there were numerous places that you could go online to buy replacements,
but now, all of the sites/links are dead.

Can anyone out there help me find these parts so that I can enjoy my consoles again??

1. XB1 = hardware dud? 2. A price increase for next-gen games?

I had 5 360s total. None of them lasted longer than 2 years. My original 360, bought at launch, lasted less than a month. I have been without one altogther now for almost 2 years, saving up for the next gen when it came out.

I'm assuming it's a launch system then. Just get a new one, as the price of Xbox 360s is pretty cheap nowadays for older elite models

it would be cheaper to buy a refurbished one honestly. And if you take the consoles apart you will get banned from Live.

you need to have a MS brand hard drive in (if a slim aka current gen) or on (if you have the older 1st gen model). without the proper hard drive you cannot play ANY supported game on a 360.

Fallout 4 will be the 1st Bethesda game on the next gen consoles. I wouldn't hold my breath on TES6 until 2015 given that Oblivion launched 4 years after Morrowind & Skyrim launched 4 1/2 years after Oblivion.

Lentdragonfly22, The xbox 360 has 2 models, 1 of them really works only using cable internet, which in this case is your model.

Sorry about that, you will really need an adapter.

What Lei Fang said, is very true. Even ask Microsoft. Millions more are still hanging around on last gen compared to the 12 or 13 million or so people, who have an Xbox 1 console. Xbox 360 last gen probably has like 18+ million users on it. Many people and
my friends I've met on Xbox 360 say they don't like that Windows 8 UI Xbox 1 has. And this gen Xbox 1 did kind of get off to a bit of a rough start - 2 policy reversals by Microsoft, Microsoft had to make an official feedback site due to the amount of feedback
about Xbox 1, and how at launch, Xbox 1 couldn't do half the Xbox Live Features stuff, which Xbox 360 could do like voice messaging change dash background and kind of a sluggish UI. Though I do say things on Xbox 1 have improved since launch. But if you have
good friends who play on last gen, it makes you want to play on last gen, than play with better graphics on this gen without them.
