Need Help w/ getting MCC to work again.

So I can't find the solution to this... I've never had issues with MCC before, but now when I launch the game, I can't play any campaign or matchmaking anymore because it says that none of my games are installed. I never uninstalled anything. I've tried changing the installed games, I've redownloaded everything before, too. I was told to see if my files were all authorized, but I don't have the Steam version of MCC. I have the Windows Microsoft Store version.

Is anyone available to help me fix this issue? also, i have tried to see in my windows store app and looked in my library to see if there were missing components that weren't completely installed too. I'm simply at a loss.

Thanks for reaching out to the Xbox forums! I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with the Master Chief Collection not wanting to work correctly.

I did a little bit of digging on your issue and found a couple of solutions that have helped others that are experiencing the same problem. First, do you have the Xbox app installed on your computer? If not, download the Xbox app from the Microsoft Store, sign in with your Microsoft account, and download/launch your game from there.

After installing the game through the Xbox app, open the Microsoft Store and click the Download icon in the top right. In the download queue, you should see a download file (about 10mbs) for every Halo game in the collection. Resume those downloads, and the issue should be fixed.

On 10/6/2021, a mod in the Halo Waypoint Forums (on a post where someone was having this issue), said that upgrading your computer to Windows 11 has solved this issue.

If you are still having issues, I would recommend that you reset/repair the Microsoft Store app and the Xbox app by following the steps below:

Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
Search for and select the app you want to fix.
Select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). On the page that opens, select Repair if it's available. If it isn't available or doesn't fix the problem, select Reset.

Also, please submit a ticket about this issue at https://aka.ms/halosupport so that another fire is lit for the developers to get this issue fixed.

Hi there!

As this game is no longer on the Play Anywhere scheme, it might be that you will need to purchase the game again or purchase the GamePass to enjoy the content of the MCC. Sorry for the inconvenience.

So you try to install Halo 1 from the MCC and it stops downloading at a certain percent every time? Are you trying to install on an external HD, or the internal one? I assume you've already tried a power cycle? Also have you tried installing other games
and seeing if they will fully install, or if it is just this one game in particular that will not work?

both on the internal and external drives idk what to do both halo mcc and halo 5 don't want to work for me the rest of the halo games work ( reach, odst ce, etc.) But not halo 5 and mcc both pre owned again

Try doing what Echo4Ent suggests. If that still does. Not work you may need to reach out to the official support line for help.

This is great news, Happy to see MCC is finally getting a much needed fix. Hopefully in later on we will get a Reach expansion for it??? (Wishful thinking) Great work guys keep it up!!!!!!!
