If you haven't, you need to do it.

In Minecraft, select Sign in with a Microsoft account.

On a different device, open your web browser and navigate to the URL displayed in Minecraft. Enter the code displayed in Minecraft and click Next.

Enter the email address, phone number, or Skype username for your Microsoft account and click Next.

Enter your password and click Sign in.

Once you are signed in, Minecraft will display a welcome message. Select Let's Play!.

I have already tried to do the recovery ticket and I received an error that the account I entered did not exist. However, Minecraft gives me the error message stating I need to sign in with my previous linked account and provides the gamer tag.

When I entered my gamertag into the recovery form, it states the account does not exist.
