Need help surprising boyfriend with new game, any recommendations? He loves Final Fantasy.

You have posted in the support forum as opposed to discussion forum so you may not have a lot of responses here. Only going off the fact that he likes Final Fantasy, I can suggest my favorite RPG on the xbox, which is The Witcher 3. There is almost an
endless supply of things to do, it looks great,and is very fun to play. That being said I cannot guarantee he would like it , do you know any other games he enjoys?

Favourite Halo: Halo 4 (Halo Reach 2nd place). Favourite COD: COD Black Ops 2. Need for speed: Need For Speed Rivals. Final Fantasy series: Final Fantasy XIII (my 1st Xbox 360 and Final Fantasy game loved it amazing graphics I loved the story graphics and
game mechanics even though the game is linear).

I second the Lost Odyssey recommendation it is made by the creator of Final Fantasy, BUT any Final Fantasy type RPG is going to be vastly different from boderlands, combat is more hands off, you don't actually run up and attack enemies. You select what kind
of attach you want to do and what enemy to do it too, and the computer does the attack, and the combat is turned based not real time. I'd recommend a Fallout game(3 or new Vegas) exp gaining, storyline you can find and equip new weapons and armor. Back to
Final Fantasy if you want to know what is going on get the oldest one, Final Fantasy 13, the other two Final Fantasy games on Xbox 360 are sequels to 13 and continue the storyline started with 13.

I love RPG. I can't get into any of the Final Fantasy games though, I have Skyrim.
