Need help signing in to an old account on Xbox 360

The account is banned on the servers. if you don't know the password, you're stuck because it cannot be reset, nor the security keys reauthorized

It seems that your device got a permanent banned since you have mentioned that you can still access your account. If your Xbox console gets banned it means that your console cannot be connected to Xbox Live at all. It just becomes useful to play physical games that you own the discs for and can only be played locally. It also means that you cannot access the online shop to download games from there either.

It is true that you can use the console offline however, you must be online when you set up Xbox for the first time. Without an internet connection, you can’t finish setup. After your console has updated and you’ve added your profile, you can go offline. In your case, this is not possible because we will be stuck in setting your device to online.

An Xbox device ban doesn’t affect the hard drive or external storage of any Xbox console, and the storage device will remain functional. You can continue to use the console offline or move the external storage device to an Xbox console that isn’t banned.

I apologized because I was a little bit confused and SwordofWhedon was right that it was your profile that got permanently banned. Getting a permanent banned will block the profile from accessing the Xbox network from any Xbox console or device. This means it can’t connect to the network to redownload previous content or make new purchases.

In most cases, a permanent ban from the Xbox network doesn’t remove your games or purchases. Any previously downloaded games, apps, or features that can be used offline are accessible to the suspended account.

To set your Xbox to Offline, follow the steps:

• Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
  
• Select Settings > General > Network settings.
  
• Select Go offline.
  

If we need to redownload the games then it will no longer possible because you need to sign your account to Xbox live however it will not go through because it will be blocked.

My Xbox 360 device is not permanently banned, I can still access the internet and Xbox live with my second account on the console, so that’s not my issue. My issue is that I cannot add/download my old, very first Xbox live profile/account to my Xbox 360 because the ACCOUNT is permanently banned, not the console. And again, this is not a password issue. I still have full access to the associated Microsoft account and still use it very frequently, I just want to be able to download my profile and access my old game saves OFFLINE, but I can’t because it stops the profile from downloading because it’s banned

I’m glad to hear that you actually can still play offline with a banned account, even though the agent I spoke to on Microsoft support over the phone said you couldn’t. My issue wasn’t that I forgot my password, I still know my Microsoft password and have full access to my Microsoft account, my problem was when I try to login to my account on my Xbox 360, it asks for a “Xbox LIVE login passcode”, and I don’t know what that passcode is. And it’s redundant because I don’t even want to sign in to Xbox live on the account because I literally can’t, since it’s perma banned, I just want to sign in to the account OFFLINE and play all my old game saves from when I was a kid. However I now have a new issue. I figured if I tried to redownload my Xbox profile to my console it would reset the code, but since it’s perma banned it wouldn’t download, and I now don’t even have the account on my Xbox anymore. I would do anything to have this account back on my console, and I’ll state again I understand that it’s permanently banned and I won’t ever be able to play with it online again, I JUST want to play OFFLINE. PLEASE HELP
