    Need help retrieving Minecraft for Windows 10 code


    Hi I had purchased the original minecraft game in 2010, and until now never looked into using the windows 10 code. However now that I would like to redeem from my mojang.net profile, I could not find a way to claim it at all. I never claimed to a microsoft
    account that I know of and hope that anyone can help me with this issue? I've even tried looking at all my emails and I could not find any relating to any redemption or confirmation. Thank you!

    If you can't find your code, you more than likely won't be able to redeem it. Even if you had it, a code that's 10 years old would probably be expired anyway.

    If you have Java Minecraft, sign in with your Mojang Account on the Minecraft Website, and you should get an offer to redeem a code for the Windows 10 Version.

    However, it was long ago since I did that, and don't know where exactly you need to go.

    After you got your code, you can go to the Windows Store App on your Windows 10 PC and redeem that code in the Store App to get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.

    EDIT: It seems that you need to have purchased the Java Edition before Oct. 19th 2018 to be eligible for getting Minecraft Windows 10 for free.
