Need help restarting

Hi Wolf! One question, is your console plugged into the wall or a power strip? This sounds like an odd question, but actually, being plugged into a surge protector or strip can choke power to the system, so components don't work as intended. I can't say
that is the problem you are having here, but you've tried just about every other possible troubleshooting step. If you are in a strip/surge protector, plug into the wall and try playing something again (you may need to do a factor reset again, to make sure
things get set up and installed without the "choked" power flow problem.) This can also cause a lot of long-term issues with the console, including complete failure of hardware components at any given time, requiring repair.

Unfortunately, aside from that, it sounds like it could be a hardware problem - which could be anything from a disc drive issue to a hard drive problem. But since you're having it so frequently, with so many different games (and the discs are all in perfect
shape) AND you've gone through all of the reinstalls/restarts/resets, then I'm afraid a faulty console may be the only other answer.... In that case, you would need to go to myservice.xbox.com OR call the 1-800-4-MY-XBOX number again to initiate a console
repair.

Just a quick update. Picked up elder scrolls online this morning and installed it. It got stuck at 88% so I reset the console then it installed fully. Played the intro area and right as I get to a certain point it froze. Ugh! Restarted again waiting 5 mins.
Cleared everything. Played another 3 mins and then it froze making a sound and then kicked me to the home screen. Now it's just freezing after I play for like 2 mins. Any ideas? Is it my Xbox? Is there anyone who can help?

Ray movies which I didn't try before and they actually worked perfect so I'm just really confused! In the end my only option of course was to set up a repair! It's unfortunate but I've tried everything possible and still no fix. So they quoted me a price on
what they believe will be a disk drive issue but I really can't be out that long so I ended up taking it to a local repair guy I trust that has worked on my systems before! I will update my post once he figures out the problem. Thanks again.

(FYI, I just thought of another thing, when you mentioned Blu Ray movies - there is actually an item in the settings which allows you to "Clear Persistent Storage," which deletes cached information that typically is "supposed" to only apply to movies. BUT,
in the past, numerous times people have had disc-based game issues which were solved using this persistent storage method! Since blu-ray movies played, this likely wouldn't have helped THIS time, but it's just good info for the future!)

Have you tried restarting the PC, see if that helps. Sometimes a restart is all that's needed.
