need help recovering an old account

so I had a old xbox account that was attached to my moms work email and microsoft has stopped accepting work emails for account and when I try to sign into it it says the account doesn’t exist so I was wondering if microsoft has deleted the account or if there is a way to get it back

How old are we talking? When was the last time you logged in?

I ask because if you don't login to your xbox profile for 2 years or login to your associated Microsoft account for 5 years then they do delete it for inactivity.

If the account was already deleted then its too late to try and recover it

well first try 3x and get the service request number from answers.microsoft.com or accounts

Remember every single detail counts including friends achievements and when and last login or servers

Anyways if all else.fails contact xbox support and show them the 3sr numbers and have them open an invalid email case

You will need to complete and submit a Microsoft account recovery form.
It will ask you questions, you will need to provide as much information as possible. This is the only way to go about recovering an old account.

Sorry to hear you're having problems recovering an account. In order to recover an account, you need to know the old email address. Your first step should be making sure you can access that old email address, then follow the support

page.

I'm not sure if theres a way to recover an account if you can not validate through the old one. This would be a security issue.
