Need help purchasing a UK expansion pass in the US with UK money, and gift it to someone

I live in the US, and want to know if there is a way I can gift a UK REGION Destiny 2 expansion pass, pay for it in UK money (GBP), and give the code to a friend that lives in the UK, with a UK Region XBOX. I know it can't be done in the XBOX store on the
XBOX, because it only lets you buy the US version. However, I noticed the Microsoft Store has a UK website, where you can buy items in GBP. Could I login to the UK Microsoft Store, purchase the expansion pass, pay for it with my credit card (which would convert
to GBP upon purchase of coarse), and give the digital code to my friend? If not, is there ANY way possible for me to buy this UK expansion pass for my UK friend? Thanks for anyone who can help me with this, I can not find any information on this on this forum,
or even googling it.

Hey I've bought a copy of call of duty black ops 3 today I live in Thailand so all my games have been imported by my local game store from Hong kong or Singapore so I was wondering if I could purchase the season pass from the uk or us stores as there is
no Xbox store for thailand I have bought Xbox live monthly membership from the uk before and still thou and it works fine but I was wondering if a season pass bought from the uk or us store would work with a physical copy of black ops that's from singspore
or hong Kong plz if could someone help cause I don't want to spend 35 pound or 50 dollars on a season pass for it not to work as it is a lot of money to waste

Need advice

I live in the US. I have a relative in the UK who has an xbox. I would like to get him a gift card. Is it best for me to buy on the UK site? What type would be best. I think there's some sort of monthly subscription. Do I need to know which model he has?
Please help an uneducated Aunt get her 16 year old nephew a decent Christmas Gift!! TIA

There is currently no way to gift content to a user outside your region. If you can find a 3rd party retailer like amazon that sells MS currency for that region you can always send them that code and then let them buy it for themselves.

Thanks for your reply. I will try buying a UK gift card on Amazon or Ebay, and send my friend the information he needs to redeem the code. I just hope that when he redeems the gift card, it lets him buy UK region stuff with it, even though I purchased it
in the United States.

Hi,

I see that the other ambassadors have basically answered why you cannot redeem the code.

To provide an alternative to gifting the season pass for ark, if your friend would still like to give it to you, there is a way around it.

When I want to gift something to someone in the UK, I send it as a gift card. This is accepted through the system, and you can then use the money to purchase the season pass yourself.

Hi,

Xbox Gift Cards only work for the region they are purchased for. Therefore a UK £5.00 card will not work in the U.S. You would need send them the money via PayPal or a bank transfer and then they can buy a gift card in their own region.

His console and mine are set to UK and the gift card was purchased in UK. My balanace is default UK not that I use it but don’t want to give him uncontrolled access to my credit card.
