    Minecraft 2 player....

    Also an HD TV and HDMI cord is required for split screen. Having a gold membership will open up lots of multiplayer worlds to enjoy. GOOD LUCK!!!

    Do you also need to have gold membership to watch TV on your TV through xbox one on TV?

    I know that gold membership is needed to watch netflix and any other app for such matter.

    when you crate a world select online game, invite your friends on xbl to play with you. you can only play with friends. there is no mode to play random online players.

    RCA to HDMI converter not working in xbox.

    i have opposite problem. Xbox is RCA. Want to play Minecraft in multiplayer mode but it only works in HD or using an HDMI connection to TV. I used a converter/adaptor of RCA to HDMI but the game does not recognize it as HDMI so no multiplayer mode. Any
    suggestions?

    Your Gold membership allows you to play all kinds of online Multiplayer game modes, not just Minecraft.

    Every game you buy is paid for the game only, and to be able to play online Multiplayer, you need a Gold membership, as your online account also features "TruSkill", a Database that tries to match you with players with the same skill as you.

    Keeping those servers active costs money, which each user has to pay.

    Also, with a Gold membership, you get 4 games each month. Two Xbox 360 games, and two Xbox One games. So you actually get a lot of value for your Gold membership.

    And if your country is supported in the Microsoft Rewards program, you can do small tasks every day and get reward points, and those reward points can then be used to buy a Gold membership.

    So you can get Gold "for free".
