Need help about purchasing 360 DLC on Xbox One

Unfortunately the only way to purchase backwards compatible content on the One is via a credit card or Paypal. The only way to use funds from an Xbox gift card would be to make the purchase on a 360 console.

For all editions, the Borderlands DLC comes included on Xbox One. For the Game of the Year edition, accessing DLC doesn’t require you to insert the DLC disc on Xbox One. Only your purchased DLC, however, will be usable on Xbox 360.

DLC transferring between Xbox 360 and Xbox One depends on whether or not you purchased the DLC with a Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass.

If you have a Season Pass:

DLC purchased on Xbox 360 will transfer to Xbox One.

DLC purchased on Xbox One will not transfer to Xbox 360.

If you do not have a Season Pass:

DLC purchased on Xbox 360 will not transfer to Xbox One.

DLC purchased on Xbox One will not transfer to Xbox 360.

You should be able to use this content offline on Xbox 360, though you need to make sure you're using the console on which the DLC was purchased. DLC is tied to the Serial Number of your Xbox 360 console. On Xbox One, it's tied to your Account.

So if for example you purchased DLC on your profile on another Xbox 360 console, you'll need to transfer the DRM rights to the new console.
