    Need for Speed with Wireless Wheel


    Need for Speed - Rivals requires pressing the LB button to Start the game, but the wireless wheel doesn't have a LB button. How am I to Start the game?

    Confounded With the Lack of Bumper Button on Wireless Speed Wheel

    Seems the wireless speed wheel was not completely thought out. Unless success to microsoft is once again *** the consumer for some profit.

    I love the wireless idea and the wheel works better for driving than the controller. Why no bumper button ability??? For a $60+ controller it is such a small addition and then provides compatibility with games like Need For Speed: Shift. In Shift the bumpers
    are needed to properly navigate through the career selection menus. Need for speed shift advertises that it supports "wheel", guess that does not include the new "wireless speed wheel", something lost on those gift shoppers not sauvy with this stuff.

    The Wireless Speed Wheel has been announced for Xbox 360.

    Designed with both racing novices and experts in mind, the Wireless Speed Wheel features standard control buttons, back triggers and haptic rumble feedback.

    Lights on the device will also be activated for certain titles, such as
    Forza Motorsport 4     later this year.

    "The new Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel balances the realism of a wheel with the feel of a controller for greater user edge in game play," read a press release.

    "With trigger buttons for gas and brake, combined with a rumble feedback, the Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel provides intuitive standard controller buttons that immerse the driver into the game, whether you like to white knuckle it down the race track with your
    hands at '10 and 2' or '9 and 3'."

    The Wireless Speed Wheel will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 for £44.99 this October.

    The wireless wheel has a lot of problems with Rivals, the wireless wheel may be missing a button or not syncing.

    Otherwise, just play it without it or try pressing any buttons you can to start it. Hope this helps.

    No, the the wireless speed wheel simply has fewer physical buttons, not something you could fix with a software update. It is possible to make the X and B buttons do shifting.

    I also am impressed with the wireless speed wheel. I have the old MS wireless force feedback wheel and pedals, and also picked up a speed wheel to have a second wheel around if I want to play Forza split screen with a friend. I definitely prefer a real
    force feedback wheel and pedals to the speed wheel, but I much prefer the speed wheel to the XBox controller for driving games in spite of it having fewer buttons. The speed wheel is nice because it doesn't take up much more room than an Xbox controller,
    and yet I find it much easier to drive with than the controller.
