Need for Speed Rivals - Bug Ridden

I have had it with this game, a great game spoiled by ridiculous bugs.

How have these not yet been patched the game has been out a couple of months.

It is so frustrating.

1) Camera randomly spins around car

2) game frequently crashes to xbox home screen

3) frequent host remigrating

4) having to wait ages to find a game

The camera randomly spinning round car is unforgivable - i have just been playing got 600,000 points ready to bank, camera spins, i crash get busted.

I cannot believe a game was released with such a fundamental bug and i cannot believe it has not yet been addressed.

years of buying games for different systems starting with the original Nintendo

have never seen a more bug ridden game than this. Just google "Need for

Speed Rivals Bugs" and an endless list pops up - or just try the thing

for 4 minutes and find one ore more for yourself. The game - if it worked - might

be fine - but It's totally worthless as purchased.

I purchased this online and I should be issued an at once refund for the title

or credits for another game is fine. I had assumed that microsoft had tested

these games like they did on previous systems. EA has figured it out - it

doesn't matter if the thing works at all - Microsoft will take peoples money

refuse refunds so why pay to make the title work at all.

Vaguely remember reading an article that the camera spins round in response to a kinect command. It can happen when you say something similar to the command thats listened out for. Can't remember command it is though - sorry. I would imagine its in some
sort of command list under the help/options lists

Say anything remotely similar to “look around,” for instance, and the game’s camera will go into an insane 360-degree spiral around your car, making it impossible to drive in a straight line for the duration. At no point does Rivals display a confirmation
pop-up or any indication that it has just heard and executed a voice command. The camera just spins around for no discernible reason.

 

i have since disabled kinect and set the game to single player and have not had either of these issues since.

if the camera bug is voice activated it is not because i am saying something it must be interpreting the game sound / in voice commands.

I cannot believe these issues were not picked up in testing and still have not been fixed though.

 

Kinect commands in NFS Rivals is a big issue and you can see how it affects lots of players from Google -

Unfortunately Kinect voice is good for a lot but poor implementation can do things like the spinning camera.

 

My GF just gave me that game, I was so happy about it until that camera bug appeared!!!! It's frustrating because I play it in Spanish and so I don't know which voice command it's using!
