Need Expert Help (Xbox 1 controller dissection)

So the left analog stick on my xbox 1 controller broke, and since its beyond warrantee coverage, I watched a few youtube videos on how to replace them by oneself. Seemed pretty understandable, so I gave it a shot, and when I saw that it was going to require
more tools than I have, I went to out it back together the way it came apart , but then a little black part came off aaaaaannnnd.... I don’t know from where that came. Is there any among you who might know what it is?

Usually it's better to install to the external drive,it gut's down onload times a bit.

As for how long it will last,no one can really answer that but it should last a few years I would think.

Depends on what hard drive it is & the quality of it.

Having it on all day shouldn't be an issue.

hello,recently i bought a xbox one and a 1tb external hard drive, i have a couple cuestions

1.-It,s better to install all of my videogames in my external hard drive leaving the internal intact?

2:- its anny difference between external and internal? i mean that the external its going to live more or have more life spectance than the internal ?

3.- how long did your hard drives last or whats the life expectancy ?

I thinks is better to install all in the external but i dont know it that gonna last me .

since recently i have an accident and the only thing i can do is play xbox for a few months, You think if i used cointinuosly and all day the external hard drive its gonna die more sooner than later?

I have personally had a lot of experience replacing the thumbstick sensors and other damaged parts inside controllers.

That part that fell out is not actually physically soldered to the circuit board.

That is the audio jack, What you need to do is match it up with where the audio jack output is on the case (should sit next to the larger older styled chat/audio output port to the left of it if you have the thumbsticks facing upwards towards you) It simply
sits on top of the contacts on the circuit board (a little tricky) Then when you put the case back on it forces it down on to the main boards contact points.

Make sure the side with the 7 gold pins is the side that presses down onto the main board.

That is the 3.5mm jack.It is not soldered directly to the board, is more like press fitted.

Locate the 3.5mm position then in order to align it make sure that the contact pin are touched the pads on the PCB.Close back the shell and you should be good to go.
