NBA2K14 Xbox 360 vs Xbox One on Live

I'm guessing this is a dumb question, but is it possible if I have NBA2K14 on the Xbox One to play against a friend who is playing it on an Xbox 360? At this point, it's the only reason I'm keeping my 360 around.

I'm guessing the answer is going to be no, but given that the basic functionality of the two versions is so similar, with only graphics quality being the primary differentiator, I would think it could be possible technically if 2K or Microsoft wanted to
make it happen.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but I've Googled and don't seem to come up with the right combination to get an answer.

Will NBA2K14 for Xbox One play on Xbox 360?

I received NBA2K14 for Xbox One as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, I have an Xbox 360! Will the game for Xbox One play on my Xbox 360? Or do I need to wait and exchange the game? Please help - was hoping to play in the morning!

No of course not. Even if it were technically possible they wouldn't do it as it would deter people from buying an Xbox One.

Ok a lot of the dunks that you can do on the X1 cant be done on the 360 version of 2K14.

 

why is this even a question? this is one of the stupidest things i have ever seen....
