NBA 2k18 stuck at downloading updates

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:



Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console



1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Try setting up manual DNS settings on your console.

1. Please go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings >> manual

2. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

3. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

Solution 3: Please try setting up a mobile hotspot connection using your phone, then connect the console to the hotspot connection. Try downloading the updates after that and see if it works.



Solution 4: Do a factory reset



1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

nba 2k18 worked with the offline download but nba 2k14 didn’t and the same with nascar heat 2 and no i cant install them on another console

Im trying to download Wildlands and the exact same thing is happening!

nba 2k18 is giving me the same error code too!

Let's try first to Clear your Xbox Caché to see if it works after that. Follow these instructions please :

1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the Xbox until it turns off completely.
2. Unplug the power brick from the back of the Xbox. Press and hold the power button on the Xbox several times to expel any remaining power and clear the cache.
3. Plug in the power brick.
4. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.
5. Turn the Xbox back on as you would normally.

I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a solution to this; I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and it still does it. It's not a problem with internet because the other Xbox One in the house doesn't have the same problem. I really need
help on how to fix this dumb problem because I have been sitting here for hours waiting for it to show a 0% and it doesn't even show that much, so please if anyone knows how to fix this I would highly appreciate it if you could walk me through the steps.

I'm about to try 2K chat support. I'm not expecting them to do anything to help as this is obviously a known issue but they want to drive people to their newer games. It's disgusting & unconscionable that an entire generation of 2K basketball games may become
unplayable over time. Apparently, people are reporting the same problems with 2k16 & 2k17. I have both but haven't tried them yet.

It looks like 2k is basically giving the 2K community the finger with this move...if you happen to prefer one of the older 2K games, well, "too bad". Honestly, this shouldn't be legal. They should have to provide a working game or refunds. But they are banking
on the fact that not enough people care about older versions since they've turned this series into annualized trash & they clearly only care about the MyPlayer/MyTeam whales who drop mega bucks on the latest version. Everyone else who plays the offline version
can apparently go screw themselves after a couple years.
