    Nat Type Moderate For Xbox 360


    When Connecting My Xbox 360 to Xbox Live Through ICS on my computer (Which is wirelessly connected to my router) My xbox 360 gives me a message saying that i can not connect to xbox live, and when i try to log into an xbox live account, i get a notification
    at the bottom-middle of my screen saying that i was disconnected from xbox live. The weird thing of everything is, when testing my xbox live connection, everything seems to go fine, except my nat type looks as if its moderate. What do i do here? Any help will
    be appreciated. Also, on my computer under the network connections control panel tab, the ethernet tab that my xbox 360 should be under says "Unidentified Network".

    Unable to connect to party chat at all on Xbox One. NAT type always strict and "Can't get a Teredo IP address" error testing multiplayer connection.

    I had a 360 before the Xbox One and it was Nat type Moderate.

    Okay, it may be down to your NAT Type being strict or moderate. Have a look at the

    Nat Type Strict (Or Moderate)     to find out if you have a strict or moderate NAT Type, and how to resolve it.

    So you have two solutioins xSimpleDRIFTERx:

    1) Upgrade your linksys WRT54G to one that has software on it that supports multiple xboxes.

    1a) Dlink DIR-655 works very well and can vary in price between $50-$100 or

    1b) Netgear WNR2000, around $50-$60, (either v2 or v3 plus log into it and set the NAT filter to OPEN when your configuring it for the 1st time)

    1c) Another router on the page Shad0wManUK linked.

    2) Open ports to a single xbox so it has Open NAT and let the other one have strict or Moderate.

    P.S. NAT does affect connections to dedicated servers like Xbox LIVE itself, Netflix, Youtube or other Apps or games

    with dedicated servers, most notably games from EA. It only affects the other PEOPLE on live that you can connect to.

    P.P.S. If your you have a DSL connection your modem is likely a router also and regardless of either situation, you'll need to forward ports from your modem to your router.
