establish a static IP on the device you are establishing a DMZ through.

Keep in mind that you will also need to verify that you the ports you forwarded are disabled, and so is UPnP.

This should give you the best connection to Xbox Live, however, I would not encourage this as permanent solution, as this places your console outside of you network.
