    so, I have an Xbox 360. but I'm not sure if the new guidelines will change or remove the gamertag name purchase once we hit july 29,2024. I don't see anything on this on Xbox support, i am looking to see if anyone has the answer to this question.

    Hey,

    atm I don't know what new guidlines you mean ? Could you share a link ?

    All I know is that new guidlines didn't change old gamertags. I for example had a Gt that had more than 12 characters and I wasn't forced to change it and it wasn't shortened to 12 when the 12 characters limit came up.

    I believe its the new changes that are going to take effect on July 29,2024 I don't have the link currently. But I don't see anywhere on there that will remove the purchase of name change, so I was curious if anyone has found out if name change on x ox 360 will be removed on July 29,2024

    If after the 360 marketplace shuts down and you want to change your gamertag, you can do so either on an Xbox One, or through the website. Change Xbox live gamertag

    Anything purchased from the 360 marketplace prior to its shutdown remains yours as you purchased it.
