My xboxlive subscription isn't recognised on new Xbox

PS - why is it not possible to speak with someone at Microsoft - it is extremely frustrating that there is no support

I tried it in a different controller, now it isn't even recognising that my mic is plugged in...

it may be a temporary problem, does your xbox recognise that you have a subscription?
