My xbox wont hook to the internet completly

My xbox is connected to the internet when you open the home menu, but the home screen shows it disconnected, its also not allowing me to play gamepass games because im “not connected to the internet” but i can see messages and what not. The router is fine because all other devices hook up fine and we have reset the xbox countless times, how may we fix this?

There's a server outage at the moment. So you'll need to wait for that to clear up.

Thank you for your guys help. I have tried skipping my router completly and hooking up via modem, sadly that came with no sucess. This has lead me to belive that as you suggested my "ethernet port" is fried. In which case leads me to a very simple sollution.
As since my internet works fine, I do have wireless, couldn't I just purchase a wireless adaptor seeing how that would hook into a different port? Your thoughts.

I know some people that cant even sign into xbox live and we're on the same family plan but I'm sending this from my xbox.

The way it sounds it might be a partial server crash. When I unpluged from the internet completly my game seemed to run faster but when Im hooked up it jumps on a snails shell. Xbox/MS is so worried about used games/bootleg games that their digging a grave
for themselves.
